Personal Profile
Starting his theatre career in Sydney, Joshua joined a travelling Shakespeare troupe driving around regional NSW in a van with eight other actors performing various Shakespeare plays for local towns and high schools. During this time he also performed in both Shakespearean and classic theatre productions in Sydney at locations including Bondi, Erskineville, Newtown, Castle Hill and others.
After moving to the States in the mid 2000's, he soon found himself on the board of various theatre companies taking dozens of lead roles in productions in St Louis, Los Angeles and New York. Co-founder of the West Hollywood Shakespeare Festival, Joshua has been the recipient of multiple 'best actor' awards throughout his career rarely failing to win an annual award for each year spent on American stages.
As a playwright Joshua won the Hollywood Producers Encore Award two years running for his writing as well as the Hollywood Fringe Platinum Award, Best Solo Male and being nominated for several more awards for his plays 'Let There Be Thistles' and 'Angels and Whiskey'. His short play 'Seven Pages of Aliens in a Cornfield was a winner of the Manhattan Square Fall Play Festival and his play 'Kink' was a winner of the inaugural Neil Labute New American Theater Festival.
After moving to the Cassowary Coast, Joshua immersed himself in learning Virtual Production techniques which are at the forefront of modern film making technology. Winning the annual award for excellence upon his graduation from one of the worlds top virtual production, animation and game development colleges, he has decided to run these acting workshops due to both popular demand and a strong desire to stay connected to the world of live performance whether that be through continuing to act or to ensure that his experience can be passed on to the local community.
